We welcome many people to our group. From Volunteering at our Charity shop, where you can help with stock, pricing, display as you build up retail and social skills. If you have traditional skills that you would like to share, then restoring and keeping our fleet afloat involves a range of carpentry, creative, signwriting and mechanical knowledge.
Below is a list of more "formal" Volunteer Roles. Maybe you have recently retired from a job that had skills or responsibilities that can be applied to these roles?
All Volunteers are encouraged to take part on our Canal Trips, to get a real experience of our purpose. You may join as a Passenger, but working a Narrowboat is a real team (building) effort, and you will learn how to work the locks, rope work, as well as Brewing up. After enjoying several trips, you may like to consider our formal training events and become an experienced or Qualified Crew member.
